WDL Systems Ships PC/104-Plus Frame Grabbers
Apex, NC, 7 April 2000 - WDL Systems is now distributing the ARVOO picasso PC/104-plus frame grabber.
The picasso PC/104-plus frame grabber is a high performance "plug and play" card for the PC/104-plus bus. It enables a standard PC/104-plus system to capture and store single images for image processing or full-frame display of real-time video in a window (30 frames per second).
The small frame grabber is an ideal choice for robotics developers providing quality control, surface inspections, and shape imaging such as those found in medical and food scanning.
picasso operates as a PC/104-plus bus master which allows it to transfer images directly to the system or the VGA memory without impacting the processor. It has four composite video inputs which are software controlled and accepts NTSC, PAL or SECAM video signals. Drivers are provided for Windows 3.x, 95, 98, 2000, Windows NT and VX-Works.
Mark Estill says, "The PC/104-plus bus allows developers to take advantage of the PC/104 form factor and ruggedness, while getting the speed of PCI. We are very happy to be able to offer our PC/104-plus customers a high quality frame grabber."
