WDL Systems Announces New ExtremeUSB Solutions from ICRON Technologies
Pittsboro, NC – 12 November 2003 - EMJ is now distributing extended range USB solutions from Icron Technologies Corporation. Remote USB devices can be located up to two kilometers away from the host computer using Icron ExtremeUSB technology.
Typical applications involve security, monitoring and remote computing applications. EMJ will sell Icron's USB extension developer kits, board level and packaged products in the North American market. These products are now available on the EMJ website www.emjembedded.com.
ExtremeUSB technology uses either copper or fiber cable to extend the distance between the computer and USB peripherals. The standard distance for USB applications is five meters.
