WDL SYSTEMS NAMED TOP CHANNEL SUPPLIER IN CRN EXCLUSIVE SOURCING STUDY
Pittsboro, NC – 15 September 2006 – WDL Systems was recently named as a top channel supplier in an exculsive CRN Sourcing Study. The study was also published on Channel Web (www.crn.com) , the online home of CRN and VARBusiness, a provider of technology news, channel news, tools and product reviews for VARs and technology integrators. A Top Channel Supplier is defined as a "most frequently shopped supplier". The Top Channel Supplier study ranks WDL Systems in the Top Ten, and sites key reasons why solution providers do business with the Top Channel Suppliers.
Distributors and resellers are ranked within each category of the study by the percentage of solution providers that indicated they purchased from the company over the last 12 months. Solution providers also selected their "single main reason" for purchasing from the supplier and indicated whether the supplier was a strategic, major or minor source of product. Certain attributes were considered for ranking the suppliers, such as; Delivering Value. Ease of doing business Relationships (often trump price) and Availability; are all sited as the key reasons solution providers remain loyal to a supplier. The 2006 Sourcing Study indicates that solution providers are increasingly sourcing product from other solution providers and less frequently from vendors.
