WDL SYSTEMS NOW SHIPPING THE VSX104+ : A 300MHz FANLESS CPU MODULE WITH DUAL LAN FROM TRI-M ENGINEERING
Pittsboro, NC – 14 August 2008 – WDL Systems is now distributing the VSX104+, a 300MHz fanless CPU Module with dual LAN for rugged applications from Tri-M Engineering. The VSX104+ complements Tri-M’s existing PC/104 product line with robust features such as extended temperature operation and soldered DDR2 RAM integrated in a small, low power package. The VSX104+ is RoHS compliant and conforms to the PC/104-Plus form factor, allowing users to easily add a wide-range of low-cost I/O options.

The VSX104+ is a compact design measuring 3.55" x 3.775" x 0.9" and has an operating temperature of -40º to +85ºC. Single +5VDC power is supplied through the PC/104 bus or 2-position screw terminal and total power consumption is 2.5 Watts. Standard features of the VSX104+ include 128MB soldered on DDR2 RAM, four COM ports, two USB2.0 ports and dual 10/100 Ethernet port. In addition to 2MB onboard SPI Flash (floppy emulation), the VSX104+ includes both a Type I CompactFlash™ socket as well as a microSD socket. System expansion is supported by the PC/104-Plus interface. The VSX104+'s 300MHz DM&P Vortex86SX System-on-Chip (SoC) is a high performance and fully static 32-bit X86 processor designed to work with embedded operating systems including Windows®CE, Linux, DOS, and most popular 32-bit RTOS.
