WDL SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF INDUSTRIAL PANEL PC from ICOP
Pittsboro, NC – 2 May 2009 – WDL Systems announces availability of the new PDX-057T Panel PC from ICOP Technology. Built around DMP’s Vortex86DX 32-bit, x86-compatible SoC (system-on-chip), the PDX-057T has a 5.7-inch resistive touchscreen LCD TFT display, up to 512MB of RAM, CompactFlash Type I/II and microSD storage, and a Mini PCI slot. Weighing less than a pound, the PDX-057T features 3 USB ports, optional audio output, RS232 port, 10/100 Ethernet port, and a PS/2 port for keyboard/mouse connection.
The PDX-057T panel PC also sports a connector for an optional antenna, relevant when a wireless LAN card is installed into the device's Mini-PCI slot. The standard version of the PDX-057T accepts 5VDC input power from an external 15W adapter. Each display is built into a sturdy, VESA-compatible enclosure. The PDX-057T runs Linux, Windows CE, Windows XP, and DOS.

The low-power Vortex86DX is a 90nm process SoC in a 27 x 27mm package and consumes under 2W while running at up to 1GHz. The Vortex86DX has 256KB of embedded L2 cache, and supports widely available DDR2 memory.
