WDL SYSTEMS DISTRIBUTING VORTEX86SX PC/104 SBC FROM ICOP
Pittsboro, NC – 25 May 2009 – WDL Systems proudly distributes the VSX-6151 Vortex86SX PC/104 Single Board Computer from ICOP Technology. The PC/104 compliant VSX-6151 SBC features the DM&P SoC (System on Chip) Vortex86SX Microprocessor at 300MHz. As a newly manufactured x86 CPU, the VSX-6151 is designed to provide backward compatibility for projects facing end-of-life challenges with an existing x86 based PC/104 controller. The VSX-6151 SBC family may be used as a plug-in replacement to extend existing product life cycles without heavy re-engineering.
“The VSX-6151 makes a great replacement CPU board in numerous existing applications based on older 486-class PC/104 products that have reached end of life,” says WDL Systems technologist, Donnie Springfield. “The Vortex86SX SoC will be available for years to come, making the VSX-6151 a strong contender for new low-power, moderate-performance applications, too.”
