WDL SYSTEMS PROVIDES Cool LiteRunner-ECO from LiPPERT
Pittsboro, NC – 17 August 2010 – WDL Systems is now shipping the Cool LiteRunner-ECO PC/104 Single Board Computer with Intel® Atom® Z5xx, 1.1 GHz / 1.6 GHz from LiPPERT Embedded Computers. The Cool LiteRunner-ECO is a standard PC/104 form factor carrier board for the CoreExpress®-ECO Advanced COM modules.
The Cool LiteRunner-ECO features the familiar and easy-to-use legacy interfaces like ISA bus, PS/2, and serial ports. It also comes with USB 2.0, SATA, and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces allowing seamless integration with I/O peripherals. At the heart of the board is a tiny advanced computer-on-module (COM), dubbed the CoreExpress-ECO. This central-processing-unit (CPU) module is equipped with an Intel® Atom® processor, Z510 or Z530, an Intel® System Controller Hub US15W, and up to 2 GBytes of random access memory (RAM). CoreExpress modules provide a legacy-free, digital-only interface to the carrier board, making the integration process straightforward with far less chance of signal distortion and mechanical errors.
The Cool LiteRunner-ECO uses LiPPERT Enhanced Management Technology (LEMT) to handle the board's housekeeping tasks like power sequencing and watchdog and enables remote condition monitoring. Multi-media capabilities are provided with VGA and LVDS display connections and high definition audio interfaces, both digital and analog.
