We turned our attention to Connect Tech’s fantastic line up for the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Xavier™ module in our Featured Products series this week.
And why not? The Jetson AGX Xavier provides server level power in a module that you can hold in the palm of your hand. With its Volta GPU with 512 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor cores, it can achieve AI performance of 32 TOPs. The NVIDIA JetPack SDK provides algorithm libraries, APIs and ancillary software products designed to allow developers to meet the full range of AI challenges.

The recently announced Jetson AGX Xavier Industrial (JAXi) module features the same form factor and pinout of the original, but provides extended temperature support (-40°C to +85°C), shock and vibration resistance, and a doubled operating lifetime support of 10 years. The JAXi sports ECC RAM (32GB) providing error detection and correction. In combination with the added Safety Cluster Engine (SCE) built around dual Cortex-R5 cores, the JAXi provides integrated fault-detection mechanisms and lock-step subsystems.
NVIDIA has also announced the new Jetson AGX Orin™. The AGX Orin shares the 100mm x 87mm form factor and pinout of the AGX Xavier, but it boasts 6 times the performance of the AGX Xavier. AGX Orin features an integrated Ampere architecture GPU with 2048 CUDA cores and 12 Arm Cortex-A78AE “Hercules” CPU cores. The Jetson AGX Orin will take its place as the lead product for robotics and AI and Connect Tech will be ready to provide carriers and complete systems for the AGX Orin.
