We were equal parts anxious and excited as we sent our Chief Tech Geek, Donnie Springfield, off to AUVSI XPONENTIAL in Atlanta to work in the Connect Tech booth. Connect Tech is NVIDIA's largest Jetson ecosystem partner, with an incomparable selection of feature rich and SWaP optimized carrier boards and systems. That means hanging out with Connect Tech at XPONENTIAL is kind of like going on a date with Ryan Reynolds ~ you’re going to get a lot of attention. And for sure it’s cool they’re both Canadians, eh?

We kicked off the week featuring the Connect Tech Quark with NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX module and Allied Vision Alvium Cameras. Allied Vision was Connect Tech’s special guest in the booth. The high-performance, industrial-grade camera modules have been tested and verified to work with the Quark with Xavier NX.

We were thrilled to praise our friends at Innodisk for winning Gold at Computex in Taiwan for their InnoAGE SSD. InnoAGE is an end-to-end edge and cloud solution with Microsoft Azure Sphere inside. It offers dual-band management for convenient error correction, systems updates, data analysis and AES encryption and supports WiFi and Ethernet.

This is a great application story about an Autonomous Mobile Robot named Wisbot! Wisbot is a service robot currently at work in a mall. The ADLINK ROScube & ROS2, Lidar sensors, 3D cameras and radar allow Wisbot to navigate freely, avoid obstacles, recognize faces, identify goods on shelves, estimate restocking times, alert staff to misplaced goods, act as a shopping guide or kiosk.

Connect Tech won 2nd Place in the AUVSI XCELLENCE Awards for their Rudi-AGX. The Rudi-AGX is a thermally optimized system based on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier. Rudi-AGX can run AI programs at Maximum Performance while maintaining a safe operating temperature. It features a wide variety of I/O for multi-camera and sensor-heavy applications. And it is ready for instant field deployment!

Donnie got to see many of our customers at XPONENTIAL, and he was really tickled to catch up with our partner SECO USA. SECO manufactures SMARC and other small form factor computers-on-module and SBCs for SWaP-optimized applications! And if you aren’t an unmanned systems nerd, SWaP stands for Size, Weight, and Power!

Other fun news this week: Innodisk has new no-daughterboard LAN modules in M.2 and miniPCIe form factors! They are great solutions for connectivity in high vibration and wide temperature applications!

ICOP Technology now offers a 9” Panel PC based on the NXP i.MX8M Mini! It has a dust and waterproof rating of IP65 and it is touch resistive making it ideal for industrial environments.
