New Products for IIoT Connectivity
We featured new IIoT products this week on the WDL Systems homepage and our social media channels. These are products that bring the functionality of the Internet of Things into the world of machine to machine communication. The IIoT is the collection of smart devices, sensors, and machines that are transmitting data to each other and to all the gateways, modems, and routers that are capturing, analyzing, and referring some part of that data on to the cloud.
It was fun to feature the brand new Innodisk EGPL-T101! This tiny little 10GbE LAN module pops into the M.2 socket on any device to provide ultra-fast data transfer speeds. The CPUs in industrial devices are powerful enough to read files at 10Gbps, but if you can only get the data to it at 100Mbps speeds, you’re wasting your processing power! The EGPL-T101 has received a lot of press lately, and it was especially nice to announce that we have it in stock!
The Innodisk EGPL-T101 is the world’s first, world’s smallest, and world’s lowest power M.2 10GbE LAN Module. It is shipping from WDL Systems HQ in Pittsboro, NC. Order yours today!
WDL has signed a new line to complement both our embedded peripheral and IIoT product mixes. AMIT Wireless, out of Taiwan, designs and manufactures M2M wireless connectivity products. Their MDG200 embedded modem plugs into any M.2 or mPCIe slot to provide 4G/LTE cellular connectivity to a device. The MDG200 is certified and carrier approved with AT&T and Verizon, meaning users don’t have to obtain carrier approval for host devices, and save both money and integration time. No additional drivers or software porting are needed for Windows and Linux devices. And management and monitoring of the MDG200 is super simple, thanks to a web-based GUI configuration tool. Check out the press release for more information.
M.2 and mPCIe Modems from AMIT Wireless. Embedded Cat 4 LTE Modems with built in GPS, USB 2.0 Interface, external slot for SIM Card, Certified and Carrier Approved. Plug and Play device provides reliable LTE connectivity.
Tibbo Technology has been bringing out some exciting new products for the IIoT, and we were pleased to wrap up this week with a look at them.
Tibbo Bus Probes are low-power environmental sensors that communicate using the Modbus RTU protocol. The entire family accepts a supply voltage from 4V to 15V, allowing you to power them with 5V sources or standard 12V power supplies. The wide supply voltage range allows you to use very long bus cables because you can handle significant voltage drop along the bus.
New from Tibbo Technology, a cost-effective, low-power RS485 Modbus RTU Flood/Leak Sensor ideally suited for building management and automation systems. The BP#05 protects a large area by employing a leak detection cable (up to 30m long) to identify the presence of water and water-dissolved liquids.
Tibbo’s newest product is the WS1102 Wireless Device Server/Programmable Wireless Controller. With a RS232/422/485 serial port and WiFi and BlueTooth interfaces, the WS1102 allows you to wirelessly connect serial devices to the Internet. The WS1102 has CE, FCC, and UKCA certification. In addition, the WS1102 has also been certified as compliant with several other safety, EMC, and immunity standards, such as IEC 62368-1 (LVD 2014/35/EU).
The WS1102 Programmable Wireless Serial Controller. It’s the perfect companion to Tibbo's Modbus sensors ~ like the Bus Probe #05 Flood/Leak Sensor. Deploy almost anywhere in your facility with WiFi connectivity. Pre-loaded Serial-over-IP app turns the WS1102 into a powerful Serial-over-IP device server!
